What is Microsoft Ignite
Microsoft Ignite is the more Microsoft's annual worldwide event, focused on developers and IT professionals, where all the latest news and innovations in Microsoft technologies are presented. This 2022 edition was held this October in Seattle. It was a hybrid format event, in person but simultaneously broadcast in streaming, so that hundreds of thousands of people around the world could follow it.
In this event more than 100 services and upgrades of the various technologies of the Microsoft, focused on helping companies in their transformation and digitisation processes, all based on the motto: "We are committed to the transformation and digitisation of companies.Do more with les": Do more, with less.
This year Microsoft has made a strong commitment to Security, the Artificial Intelligence and Cloud services.
What's New in Security: Microsoft Defender for DevOps

The 2022 edition of Microsoft Ignite has focused on Azure, Microsoft's cloudThe new cloud offerings are designed to help companies reduce costs and increase productivity, which is essential in the current scenario of economic uncertainty. From now on, Microsoft Azure customers will have new hybrid and multicloud offerings to tailor the Azure offering to their needs. An example of this is the new functionality to deploy Azure Kubernetes Service on-premises or on the edge via Azure Arc.
What's new and improved in Azure Cognitive Services?
Many updates, new features and improvements were also announced in Azure Cognitive Servicesas the service Azure OpenAI which will allow access by invitation to Dall-E 2, a model for generating personalised images.

What's new in Microsoft 365
Microsoft Office disappears, to be merged into Microsoft 365
The first thing to note is that it disappears Microsoft Office and as of November, it will only be available in Microsoft 365. For companies using Microsoft Office, they will be automatically upgraded to the new version. Users will continue to have access to Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlookbut within Microsoft 365.
Microsoft 365 also includes: Microsoft Teams, Loop, Clipchamp and the company's new Designer application.. All these programmes will be multi-device, as they will work on desktop and mobile devices. In order to enjoy these extra programmes, Microsoft Office users will need to upgrade to Microsoft 365.

What's new in Microsoft Teams
Microsoft wants to transform the culture of meetings and teleworking with Teams Premiumincluded in Microsoft 365. The highlights of the new version of Teams, in addition to security enhancements, are the ability to create new tasks, automatic meeting summaries and chapters, and real-time translation in 40 languages, including the live translation for subtitles. It will also make it possible to organise high quality webinars. Finally, Teams will make it possible to create personalised avatars of the participants.

Microsoft Power PlatformMicrosoft's innovative suite of tools: Power BIfor data analysis and business intelligence; Power APPs, to create business applications; Power Automate, to automate processes; Power Virtual Agent and Portals, to create websites; it introduced many new features to improve efficiency and collaboration between users.
At Microsoft Ignite, it was announced the general availability of Microsoft Power Platform Managed Environments This Power Platform tool will enable companies to govern low code with a central low code platform. Enterprise IT managers will be able to manage and govern their low code assets from a central framework, giving visibility into everything that is being developed. IT managers will no longer have to go to the admin centre to get visibility of what is being done on the Power Platform, with Managed Environment, an email is automatically sent to the IT manager with all Microsoft Power Platform usage information.
What's new in Microsoft Power BI
Tighter integration between Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft 365
Microsoft Power BI, the leading business intelligence tool, introduced many new features to improve efficiency and collaboration between users. To this end, integration with Microsoft 365The project is designed to facilitate data exchange and collaborative reporting. To facilitate the implementation of Power BIfrom 2023 it will be installed automatically for users of Microsoft 365as part of the installer of Office 365.
Integration between Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Sharepoint and OneDrive
Another new feature presented was the ability to interact with Power BI reports directly from Sharepoint and OneDrive.
Data exchange between companies and external organisations

Azure Analysis Services Migration Tool to Power BI
In addition, an automated migration tool has been developed for the migration of Azure Analysis Services a Power BI Premium. This tool in Microsoft Build helps simplify and accelerate the migration experience from AAS to Power BI Premium. It will be available from November.
New: Sub-metric Summaries to improve metrics and KPIs
One of the major developments in Microsoft Power BI is the improvement of metrics and KPIs. The "sub-metric summaries" feature was introduced.
Finally, we would like to highlight the new menu Optimise created in Power BI DesktopThis is very useful for users working with Direct Query reports and large data models. It allows you to pause and refresh visual queries, add and remove items from a list of fields, update visual items without refreshing the entire page, and apply optimisation settings with a single click. Editing data models has also been made much easier, reducing the number of queries.
