Given the general public concern about the Coronavirus crisis and the paucity of reliable, comprehensive reports from official sources of information, we have developed a detailed report in Power BI, on the data and the evolution of the COVID 19 virus in Spain and in the world.. This report is automatically updated daily with official data from the Spanish Ministry of Health. You can see the full report by clicking on this link:

Coronavirus Analysis in Spain and the World

In the first two pages of the report, an exhaustive review is made of the Coronavirus testing in Spain. On the first page, as shown in the image above, we can see the following graphs and statistics:

  • Total cases registered to date
  • New cases reported and change from previous day
  • New cases hospitalised and change from previous day
  • New admissions to the ICU Intensive Care Unit and variation from the previous day
  • Persons killed and change from previous day
  • New hospital discharges and change from the previous day
  • Percentage of patients recovered, compared to registered cases

Below, we can see a map with the percentages of registered cases by Autonomous Community in Spain.

In the following graphic, on the right, a analysis of the evolution of registered cases: Total, deaths and hospital discharges.

Then, a bar chart is used to make a comparison of the cases registered in Spain by Autonomous Community.

Finally, we can see a comparative graph of:

  • Registered cases, hospital admissions, deaths and discharges, by day.

The interesting thing is that if we click on the map or the graph of the autonomous communities, on a specific community, for example Madrid, the entire scorecard is updated with the data for that autonomous community:

And at the bottom right, in the graph of the evolution of cases, deaths, admissions and daily discharges, if we move the bar we can choose a day, and see the whole report updated with the data of that particular day.

On the next page of the report, we continue with the national data, but we take a closer look at some relevant aspects, such as:

  • Number of public, private and total available ICU beds.
  • The masks distributed by each autonomous community.
  • Confirmed cases, hospitalised, admitted to ICU and deaths, by age range.
  • Confirmed cases, hospitalised, admitted to ICU and deaths, by sex.

Finally, on page four of the report, we can see a animated graphic with the evolution of COVID19 in the WorldThe data from the first years of the disease, from the onset of the disease to the present date, through the data from the 10 countries with the most reported cases of Coronavirusto date.
