There will be a brief introduction to the basic concepts of business intelligence, in order to be able to understand the rest of the points on the syllabus.

 

  • Extraction and Transformation Module

This section will explain to the user how to obtain and transform data from different sources (Excel, databases, flat files, web pages, data in the cloud, etc.) and how to automate the data transformation with Power Query. Different examples of data extraction and transformation will be performed covering the broad functional spectrum.

 

  • Modelling Module. The student will learn how to create an incident analysis model, being able to combine it with other information such as hours worked, and obtaining indicators such as frequency rate, severity, days lost and incidence, learning the necessary basic concepts of Power BI:
