Global Power Platform Bootcamp is an annual global event on Microsoft Power PlatformMicrosoft's revolutionary technology tool consisting of: Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents. This event, which is being held simultaneously in more than 500 cities around the world, is organised by Power Platform user groups and communities and is aimed at all those who want to learn more about this technology. This year 2021, last February, Global Power Platform Bootcamp  was also held in Madrid, for the second consecutive year, co-sponsored by Next-Step Consultants.

The event was opened by a talk given by José Luis Cano, from Next-Step Consultores,about: Composite Models with Datasets and Analysis Services.

José Luis explains the revolutionary new feature of Power BI, released in December 2020, still in preview version, which is a very important milestone, because it allows us to be able to combine models from Power BI and Analysis Services with other data sources. By activating the new feature, when we connect to an already created Power BI model, we can adapt it and create a model from that existing model.

At last, the worlds of corporate Power BI and personal Power BI are coming together, thanks to the fact that it is possible to be able to change and combine existing models in Power BI and Analysis Services with other data sources.
