This system obliges businesses to send electronically the details of their invoicing records, both invoices issued and received, via the<strong> Electronic Headquarters of the Tax Agency<\/strong>. The <strong>IBS<\/strong> updates the VAT Register Books electronically and almost in real time, allowing the Tax Agency to have a more accurate and up-to-date view of companies' economic operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Companies obliged to use the SII<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Undertakings obliged to use the <strong>IBS,<\/strong> <strong>Immediate Provision of Information<\/strong>are those that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They have an annual turnover of more than 6 million euros.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are registered under the monthly VAT refund scheme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They are VAT groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It can also be used by any company that chooses to do so voluntarily. It is an option to <strong>VERIFACTU<\/strong>, which becomes compulsory for all other businesses from 1 January 2026. However, SII involves sending all invoices, both issued and received, to the tax authority and submitting VAT monthly, whereas with VERIFACTU, we only have to send invoices issued to customers and VAT submission remains quarterly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Deadlines for sending invoices to the SII<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Companies obliged to use the SII<\/strong> must send the billing records in a <strong>period of<\/strong> <strong>four calendar days<\/strong> from the issue or receipt of the invoice.
